At the rehabilitation center we are pleased to have five clients who are continuing well with the program. At the moment we are also working with several of the men to help with their reintegration into the community. One of the clients is attending lessons on how to make many types of fishing flies, as a local neighbor is in the business of manufacturing them and shipping them all over the world. The client is very successful at this and it has the potential to lead to full time employment in the future. Another client is interested in joining a project for rearing chickens and hopefully this will come to fruition and also lead to employment.
Thank you so much to all the people who donated school shoes to the children and those that organized the event. This is the first time the Uzima children have owned quality “Bata” shoes that are intended to last a long time. They were so grateful, and thanked God along with us for another answer to prayer.
We are also happy to receive a kind donation from the UK to help with buying necessary equipment for our rehabilitation center, including chairs, basic kitchen equipment, and a hair-shaving machine. These are only a few of the items we were able to purchase, and we are grateful for any donations we receive to enable us to serve the Lord by helping these men become free from drugs and know Him. (This donation came from an outside source not from our U.S. office, so please note it is not indicated in the “March 2014 Analysis of Expenditures” posted in our previous blog entitled “Financial Transparency”.)
We have posted both our monthly budget, and the analysis of expenditures for the month of March in the previous blog. We are currently praying and hoping God will increase our regular monthly support, as this month has proven to be one of the most difficult to meet the basic needs of the ministry. If you desire to fully know the needs of Uzima Outreach please take a moment to read it.
Please remember to keep us in your prayers. Without question this is a spiritual battle we are in and we need to come together in prayer, that the schemes of the devil will be put to shame in the name of Jesus.
We could not do this work without your prayers and support and we sincerely thank you.
