“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
As you probably read in last month’s newsletter, we wrote about God turning the water back on as soon as we finished praying for this need. In this same spirit of thanking God for his never-ending faithfulness, we want to share some more answers to prayers we’ve seen recently.
At the end of September 2014, the children’s home had just run out of toilet paper. The staff had their daily prayer sessions and lifted up this need. Immediately after finishing prayers, a neighbor (that did not know about the need) came with toilet paper.
In that same time frame, there was a need for Washington (the Children’s Home Manger) and Ruth (the Social Worker) to leave to various areas of Kenya for required home visits. A budget was put together for all the needs of the journey coming to $310. At this same time, an email was received saying people (whom we’ve never met) wired to us the exact amount of money needed. Again, no one had been notified of this need.
October 12th, the Children’s Home had just run out of soap. Then, out of nowhere, came a stranger donating not only soap, but also other essential toiletries.
We follow a faithful God that not only cares about the big things, but the smallest of needs as well. His love and faithfulness are from everlasting to everlasting.
Please pray with us for the continued need to relocate the Children’s Home to a larger facility
Pray for wisdom for those in leadership
Pray for the adult side of the program that now has clients both transitioning in and out of the rehab
Pray for more and more to put their faith in Jesus
