Jackson’s Story / July Analysis of Expenditures

Jackson joined us in 2010 in the genesis of Uzima Outreach. At that time he and his younger brother Simon were in the care of Washington (the soon to be children’s home manager) and were integrated together with the first children coming from Kawangware slum.

Their father passed on when they were very young and they were left with their half brother who, in 2006, also passed on due to AIDS. After his passing, the mother moved upcountry leaving the boys behind. At this point, Washington and his family took the boys in, not knowing they would be among the first children to join the ministry God was forming.

Today, Jackson is a believer who has successfully finished high school and is currently hoping to further his studies into college. He is the first child to come through our program and we see God’s blessing in his life. There is a strong maturity in him (as if he was the eldest brother to 35 children) and now he desires to be a teacher.

We at Uzima, thank God for calling us to this work to see God bring about change, and see people like Jackson come to know Jesus. Please pray for Jackson as he transitions into adulthood, that he will stay in God’s will for his life.

  • Pray for Simon, as he is now a senior in high school

  • Pray the rehab and drop in center ministries continue to be fruitful

  • Thank the Lord with us for His faithful grace upon Uzima
