Update and December Analysis of Expenditures
As we enter into the New Year anticipating all the Lord will do, we want to take a moment to reflect on the many answers to prayer we witnessed in 2015. We have seen God’s faithfulness in large steps forward as a ministry, and in you, our faithful partners in prayer and support. We are thankful for you faithfully walking with us.
We saw a big change this year within the rehabilitation side of the ministry. After much prayer and several meetings, we felt led to simplify the rehabilitation ministry back to its original form of a Drop-in Center without a live-in facility. We are still very much seeing God’s hand at the Drop-in Center, and our partnership with PCEA Withaka Church has been very successful in training and counseling clients.
When we began our partnership with the church, there were over 150 clients seeking help from addiction. By the end of the year, there were 8 clients who had successfully completed the program. We were excited to see these men change their lives and graduate from the program in December.
As we step into 2016, let’s pray for these brothers as they continue with their journey of recovery. We hope that as we usher in 2016, God will continue to lead us and use us according to His will. We want to continue to reach out to more drug addicts that they may know Christ and find sobriety.
We saw many large steps forward at the Children’s Home:
The relocation of the children’s home to a new property that is spacious and more accommodating for the children.
We built a new dormitory for the boys that solved the problem of overcrowding and is now compliant with the guidelines of the Children’s Department.
This compliancy had enabled us to renew the process of registering the Home with the relevant government agencies – This process is now in the final stage.
We have seen a large improvement in the budget for running the home. This has greatly reduced the strain on the monthly needs.
We started the chicken project, which was a big step forward in improving diets and creating income for the home in the near future.
Finally, we had many visits from our partners from around the world. Their time with us was precious and encouraging. It reminds us that we are a family, and we are united in this work for the Kingdom of God.
Truly we have seen God’s loving faithfulness upon this ministry, and have countless things to be thankful for. Also, we want to appreciate you, our devoted partners in the ministry. You have walked with us in this journey, continually praying and generously giving; our hearts our full with gratitude and joy. May God bless you this wonderful year of 2016.
We want to thank God for his many blessings upon us.
Pray for God’s guidance and will in this work.
Pray for all the children and clients to have deep, rich relationships with Jesus.
Pray for wisdom for our leadership.
