The Latest From Kenya

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Back in January Fred Ojiambo Munuku stepped down as the Kenya Director position of Uzima Outreach to pursue his studies and focus on other ministries. From that point, the board voted in Osborn Mayoye to fill that position. He has served faithfully on the Board for seven years, honoring God with wise decisions and showing himself to be a man of integrity. His love for the Lord and His people is clearly displayed in how he interacts with the outreach clients and the kids in the home. We thank God for the leadership he has put in place over this ministry.

The education of Uzima children is very important to us. In January everyone will begin a new school year to continue on with their studies. The schools will be expecting us to at least pay for the first semester at this point.

The total annual cost for 11 high school students and 29 elementary students is quite expensive. Generally speaking, every year we’re not sure how we’ll meet this expense, but every year God does something miraculous - there has never been a time when the children missed out on their education, and for this we give God all the glory.

Below is the 2020 school year budget. Would you please consider sponsoring a child or a one-time donation designated to education?

Prayer requests:

  • Please pray for wisdom for Osborn in the role of Kenyan Director.

  • Join us in prayers of thanksgiving for all the previous years God made a way for our children’s education.

  • Continue to lift up the outreach workers who minister faithfully to the clients.

  • Pray God continues to work in the lives of the clients to grow deeper in their faith in Jesus.

  • And thank God with us for his grace and love over Uzima Outreach.
