We Have A Miraculous God!

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.

Psalm 107:19-21

Doreen has faithfully served as the head matron at the children’s home for six years. She has become a very special lady to us as we have watched her selflessly take care of the Uzima children. She has spent hours on end at clinics or hospitals whenever our children have appointments or are admitted for care. Doreen always remembers the special moments and is always willing to spend hours at the market finding good deals so the children can enjoy great feasts when there is something to celebrate. She is a mother and a friend to all of the kids and is always willing to lend an ear to each child and offer her advice when needed.

Recently as she was preparing fried fish for the children the pot of boiling oil tipped over and splashed onto Doreen from her knees down. She passed out immediately and this sent everyone into a frenzy. The staff members and children were all shocked and scared until someone recommended that they pour flour on her skin and rush her to the closest hospital. The children and staff members who stayed at the home prayed fervently that God would intervene and heal her. Seeing the kitchen floor that had cracks on it from the burning oil, the staff were certain that Doreen would have horrible burns and scars.

When they arrived at the hospital Doreen was immediately rushed to the emergency room for help. The doctor and nurses were able to clean her legs. After working on her for a while they found that she had only sustained a small burn on her foot. This has left a mark on her foot but the rest of her legs are scar free.

We really thank God for this testimony. Doreen is a treasure to all of us, and we give all the glory to God for protecting her and giving her a miraculous healing.

The 2020 school year has officially begun. All the children are back in school and eager to learn in their ongoing studies. So far we’ve been able to raise about 14% of the annual school fees. Would you please consider sponsoring a child or a one-time donation designated to education? We are grateful for your ongoing help with this need.
