Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Greetings to you, the extended family of Uzima Outreach.
We thank God for the marvelous work He is doing in the rehabilitation ministry. Over 20 clients faithfully attend the program. Many of them are walking with the Lord and growing in their faith. For the clients who have met their goals through six months of the program, we sponsor them to begin small businesses.
This sweet lady has met her goals through six months in the program. We thank God she has accepted Jesus as her savior and is growing in her faith. Uzima sponsored her to start a small business making and selling knitted clothes. She thanks God that the profits have been meeting her needs. Also, she recently introduced a friend into the program who was just released from prison.
This reliable lady was sponsored to begin a small business selling coffee, tea, and snacks. She too gives all glory to God that the business has been meeting her needs. We thank God she faithfully attends the program and has also given her life to Jesus.
Ministry at Uzima Children’s Home continues on well despite the challenges that Covid-19 has brought. Although the children can’t be at school, we thank God for the wonderful staff at the home who everyday show the love of Christ to the children to raise them well in the Lord.
The children’s home recently began another income generating project selling household and food supplies from a small store on the corner of the property. Please pray it is a successful endeavor, and a blessing to the local community.
Please pray for the clients who have started small business. Pray they are managed well, and the profits meet their needs.
Pray for other clients in the rehabilitation program who have nearly met their targets to also be sponsored with a small business. Pray they stay the course of sobriety and grow in their faith.
Pray for physical protection and financial provision for the children, clients, and staff during this difficult season.
Several of the children in the home have gotten sick with malaria the last two months, which has greatly increased the medical expenses. Please pray for provision and full recovery.
Join us in worshiping the Lord - that in this pandemic season the harvest is ripe. The children of Uzima are growing in their personal relationships with God, and many of the clients have put their faith in Jesus.
