Greetings From Your Uzima Outreach Family in Kenya!
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Leah is one of the children in Uzima who has shown great improvement over the past two years. Before she came to Uzima Children’s Home she was struggling, being passed from one person to the next in the slums; her basic needs were not being met, including getting an education. Once joining us, she immediately started showing growth spiritually, academically, and socially. Today, she loves worship time with the other girls her age, singing and dancing. Previously she couldn’t really read or write, but now she is advancing quite well with the other children.
The children are all very excited to be back in school with new school uniforms. We take the education of the children seriously, and we want to thank you for helping them meet their academic goals. Would you please consider donating towards their school fees as they continue through the school year? From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Recently we had the high school boys from Uzima Children’s Home join the the Outreach Program. They all went together to minister to boys living on the streets. The boys from our home could relate with the struggles of street living, and the outreach team understand the struggles of addiction. Together they were able to minister and share the hope found in Jesus. The outreach team will continue to follow up with the street boys and love on them.
We had the Uzima boys join us because we want to continuously raise up godly people through the Uzima Children’s Home to be future leaders, and even be a part of the Uzima ministry when they reach adulthood. It’s important for us to be intentional in raising leaders for the next generation.
Please lift up in prayers the street children and addicts.
Thank God with us for the harvest of tomatoes and sweet potatoes at the children’s home.
Pray for provision for this year’s school fees.
Lastly, continue to pray for ongoing spiritual growth for the Uzima children, and rehabilitation clients.
