Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16
This young lady is a joy to all of us at Uzima Children’s Home. She was first brought to us through the Children’s Department back in early 2018. Back then she was living on the streets where she endured serious abuse. Prior to that, she also endured much neglect and abuse within her family. By the tender age 13, she had already seen and faced a great amount of trauma.
Over the years with us we have seen a tremendous change in her. In 2019 she embraced God’s Word and gave her life to Jesus. Now, we can really testify to the wonderful work that God has done in her life. She is such a hard worker when it comes to her chores, and she even chooses to work out in the garden because she enjoys it so much. She also puts a great effort into her studies and shows great potential. She is very respectful to her elders and a big help for the younger children. She is a joy and we are blessed to do our part in raising her.
The rehabilitation program is moving along well in new locations and with new clients. We thank God for the grace and favor he has given us for this season. In Kiamboni we are mentoring women with children; women who are addicted to heroin but greatly looking for a better future. These ladies have appreciated our friendship and Spirit-led approach. With each visit you can see more faith in them to believe in the God of the Bible. In the many years we’ve been doing this Kingdom work, we have learned to never count a person out by their looks or life circumstances, but believe in God’s incredible grace and love.
Please pray this young lady continues to grow in her walk with Jesus, and for her future to be blessed in the Lord.
Pray God gives us success in the ongoing work of outreach, and for many clients to come to salvation.
Please be praying for provision, as our general support has reduced as of late.
Lastly, pray for wisdom for our leadership to be all the more effective for God’s Kingdom.
